We Can Dance

'We can dance if we want to ........ '

  ... and why wouldn't they on the most glorious of afternoons on the cliff edge here in East Yorkshire. 

Words really couldn't describe how fantastic it was to be in the sun on Bempton  Cliffs, home to hundred of thousands of seabirds here to breed, looking down on a stunningly blue sea this afternoon.  A slight breeze whipped the hair whilst the gannets hung in the air currents that washed up the cliff sides then flew past at a rate of knots. Fulmars, gulls, kittiwakes and puffins circled and dived; lovely to watch them soar with the light bouncing off their wings. 

Courtship and rivalry, nest building and predation - it was all going on and the camera was in overdrive!

 Life doesn't get much better than this!

Back to Mum and Dad's tonight again.
