Man of Action!!

Into Bath this morning to the Theatre Royal to hear a talk by Anna Pasternak, the great niece of Boris Pasternak. Her book tells the heart-breaking true story of the passionate love affair between Boris Pasternak and Olga Ivinskaya that inspired Doctor Zhivago, one of the greatest literary love affairs of the 20th Century. The talk was very interesting and I think the book will be so too. The story is currently in development as a six-part television series with Liz Trubridge, producer of Downton Abbey, that should be very good too!

Then this afternoon M arrived and he very quickly put me to work again! Between us, we've repolished the house's wooden floors, sorted a problem with the car, planted out some new plants, hung the hanging baskets and trimmed the hedges. There's no chance of a rest when M's around!!
