Good Luck, Bad Luck
Starting with the bad luck, I went out into the garden to see if I could get an image of a damselfly larvae coming up a stalk out of the water. One did, but on the other side of the stalk, so no picture. The good luck was whilst sitting waiting. A bird flew into the tree behind me. It then came down to the pond, landing on one of the tree trunks less than a metre from me, too close for a picture. It then went to the pond waterfall for a bath, enabling me to get it in focus. The bird, a tiny Goldcrest, before and after its bath.
