Gobsmacked

Went to Squamish today and took the sea to sky gondola. Stunning views of the Howe Sound and the Rocky Mountains. Fab breakfast in The Portobello and yet more fantastic beer in Back Country.

POSTSCRIPT
Truth is I am so chilled that even blipping feels like work. what was it Ernest Hemmingway said? something about his worst fear was being happy and contented as it was his unhappiness that fuelled his creativity.

Not that I am any Hemmingway.

The Girl Racer took us to a local pizza place a few miles outside of town tonight. It's not on the tourist trail but the food was excellent and it was a benefit night for the local school. Everyone was really friendly and there was a really mellow atmosphere.

You have to love this place. Whistler is best described as Disneyland meets centre parks but it is really friendly, relaxed, clean and has everything you could want. Specifically, good beer, food and coffee

... and mountains.
