Lidgate, Suffolk

It's been a lovely day, warm and sunny with not much to do except enjoy it.

Had a ride over to Lidgate near Kirtling in Suffolk. St Mary's Church is Grade II listed and has a number of Medieval features.  It was built within the outer bailey walls of a castle that had been abandoned in the 1260s. Not much remains of the castle but there are some impressive earthworks to be seen.
