Politics..
Vote for whoever you like just make sure you vote. Every party has pros & cons that appeal & affect different people in different ways, vote for what suits you best. But remember what's good for you might not be good for a someone else.
This is what's good/bad for me...
I'm a postman, a postman who's job over the last couple of years is has drastically changed, first it was privatised & sold heavy under value by our current government & shares were snapped up by the wealthy & in a short time prices tripled, that could have been profit for the Gov not profit for the individual (many individuals who have vested interests in certain parties).
Now the Royal Mail is run to line it's shareholders pockets naturally like any private sector company, when profits are paramount & cost-cutting is rife. Staff are no longer replaced like for like & work loads are unrealistic as we cover ex workers duties.
My pension is a small pension valued currently at around 14k a year, later this year the Royal Mail is scrapping it's pensions in favour of a cheaper pension scheme that saves money, my new pension forcast if I carry on paying for another 30 years is estimated at 5k per year. That's nearly a 10k loss each year thanks to the government that privatised us.
Then that brings me to the election, each party use the Royal Mail to send propaganda to every household, you may have already had some. In days gone by all the parties paid the individual postman 5p to deliver each leaflet, this can add up to a few £100 if you have 5-6 parties & 1500 letterboxes on your round. So far every party has kept to this as it's cheaper to pay a postman 5p than the Royal Mail the price of a stamp, apart from one party - the current one in no10. They are using tax payers money & donations to post material at a higher rate that the postman doesn't see as it goes straight into the coffers of the company & it's shareholders (remember many of them shareholders are linked to the current gov). Not that ain't a shocking thing it just doesn't win the votes of postal workers.
My union is heavily linked to a party & one party is in favour of renationalising my company, even knowing it's a unrealistic it's a big thing for me personally.
I can as a postman say the best vote for me is not a vote for the party that privatised us. That said you might not be a postman & voting the same party may be beneficial to you.
I'm not forcing my vote on people I'm just explaining why I'm not voting for a certain party.
Just vote..
