Election Day

Today is election day in Holland and its exciting this time.

We've got a pretty weird system, let me explain...
A huge country like for instance the United Stated only offers two political parties to choose from, so as one of the smallest countries in the world we have something like 26 or so.

Basically there's no way we can form a Government with out several parties having to join forces.
For once its there are two parties who actually attract almost all votes and one is left- and the other right wing.

No matter what the outcome today, they will have to join forces... but the big question is, who is going to become Prime Minister.

So The Hague - our political capital - is crowded with foreign tv crews and press. I took my Blip right in front of our Parliament Building and right behind of the Japanese TV crew. Ready to broadcast the preliminary results. See my alternative shots here, here and here
