Dog in boots?

I was in Edinburgh today having a coffee with a friend when we noticed this woman walk past with two dogs. We both did a double take as we noticed that one of the dogs was wearing boots.

I managed to get a quick photo, but did not have time to ask why the dog was wearing boots, most strange.

Rich made me cover some of their parts; hence the yellow stars, for the sake of decency.
