Picking wild herbs for a salad

Today I attended a course organised by Ruokapiiri at the University of Tampere where we went out to Tahmela to pick some wild herbs and to prepare a salad using them. It was quite interesting, I learned a lot, and the weather was excellent. The location also provided such a mental retreat for the soul! The herbs we used included e.g. vuohenputki (ground elder ), nokkonen ( nettle), maitohorsma ( fireweed ), ketunleipä ( wood-sorrel), and voikukka (dandelion ).
