Oh No You Don't!

. . . That's our Bass Rock you are trying to take away. It is a protected SSSI don't you know. Very important gannet nesting site.

Today, both pipelaying vessels (Audacia and Solitaire) were back off Kirkcaldy along with attendant lackeys. This one looked as if it were about to steal the Bass Rock and already had it loaded and ready to go.

However, it was the Audacia that scarpered off this evening, bound not for Shetland, but to Israel!


Incidentally, the colour of the Bass Rock is not snow, it is not chalk: it is this year's fresh whitewash of guano.
