"Cheese"

James and Eve having fun at the park this afternoon.

Earlier we took  James to his favourite tourist attraction....the Kelpies! As always he enjoyed every minute.

Drama at the nest box today. We watched the lone parent ,who now feeds the brood,  trying to oust a dead chick from the box. Poor thing tried time and time again to no avail and in between times left to collect food for the remaining chicks. No idea what has happened to the other parent. Tonight we were sure the nest had been abandoned but after dinner we watched with glee as the parent returned.
