Under a Cloud
We've been clearing out an overgrown bed at the top of the garden, and today we gave ourselves a holiday, and drove over to Kelso for some plants to fill the gaps.
We came home with a photinia, two viburnum davidii, and an escallonia. All very sensible and low-maintenance. And then we fell for a gorgeous pink rhododendron - that came home with us too. Just to spice it all up a bit.
In the same spirit, we drove home by the scenic route, and stopped for a stroll and an ice-cream in Town Yetholm - yes we had ice-cream weather today! My white Magnum disintegrated in the heat, while TM smugly spooned up his carton of Doddington's. I have low tastes in frozen confectionary.
As we walked along, this huge black cloud appeared. And then just as quickly disappeared leaving all blue and fluffy white as before. I took this shot of a very damaged pine tree just as the two kinds of clouds were colliding. The rock is the top of a garden wall.
That was as wild as it got in Town Yetholm this afternoon.
