Green

A first for me - a green hairstreak! Just look at those wings... green, blue, gold, turquoise ...... colours just banging out there in the heat. You could follow it as the  wings caught the rays giving the position away - getting up close and personal was another matter. I think I should have been a rugby player... or not ...   ;) ! The only reason I caught it was because it was ovipositing under a leaf.

Back to my usual hunting ground for the butterflies and was feeling a tad dischuffed with all the new fences etc etc etc no butterflies for miles. Why? However with the dogs in tow I did find this.  Not all bad then. I have to say the dogs just were amazing  - they knew what I wanted and did the business. Excellent! 

Got my life back after editing 1500 wedding photos and today at 1300 hours precisely banged it off! Hurrah! 

My heart goes out to MANCHESTER today. Horrible to read and listen to!
