Portland Japanese Garden

Today started as it ended yesterday. Still no electricity in some parts of the center of Portland. Seems there was a fire yesterday in an underground electricity vault, i.e. not yet clear by when it will be fixed and some estimates are by this evening, or even not. So our hotel management did a good job and found alternative hotel rooms in the neigbourhood. But realising again, how dependent we are on electricity. The shops and restaurants around had to close, the traffic signals didn't work, our mobile phone batteries were down, etc.

Anyway, today visit to the International Rose Test Garden and the Japanese Garden. The blip is from the Japanese Garden. Not showing any of the main attractions but only some of the quite large area covered with moss, but helping to create a tranquil environment.
