This morning tourists were taking photos of Edinburgh Castle from The Mound savouring the peaceful scene and probably unaware of the significance of the flags flying at half mast. Around Piccadilly Station in Manchester there was an unusual amount of police and it was obvious that security was high with people being asked to identify their cases in the crowded doorways on my train. The selfish action of one, or perhaps more, has ruined the lives of so many people particularly young ones. Throughout the land the thoughts and prayers are for those families and friends of the dead and injured and the hope is that there will be no more mindless attacks.
