From Liverpool for Manchester...

I came to Liverpool yesterday for a meeting at the Convention Centre here today. The Convention Centre is literally next door to the Echo Arena here in Liverpool, shown in the photo. This made me think of the senseless killing and injuring of children and others in the terrorist attack at the Manchester Arena last night. The flags outside the Arena here are all flying at half mast, and so are my emotions. My thoughts are with all those affected in any way by last night's atrocity.

Almost exactly an year ago I was at the Manchester Arena myself for a Bruce Springsteen concert. That made yesterday's horror even more poignant for me.
