Half Mast

I was wakened by a text from my office telling me about the fearful, dreadful events in Manchester.

Our planned manifesto launch was cancelled and Cabinet was moved to St Andrews House and brought forward. A short meeting heard, before any other business, an account of what was known so far about the appalling event last night and we all expressed our collective and individual condolences and sympathy.

This was taken as I walked up the stairs to my office after the Cabinet meeting - one of the many flags flying at a mourning half mast today.
