global village

This week I am out somewhere different every evening and tonight it was for the Dunscore Fairtrade Village AGM. I cycled there and was a little early so say on the seat for a wee while. It's only a tiny village but famous locally for being the first Fairtrade village in Dumfries and Galloway.

Everyone at the meeting was a bit subdued because of the horrible events in Manchester. I thought it might be appropriate to blip a photo of our village which has both the war memorial and the peace pole in it. I hope we will not give in to despair but keep believing in and working for a better world.
