Poppy

My allotment neighbour's poppies are putting on a show just now.

Out on the golf course this morning hoping for lots of sunshine but it never appeared I'm afraid. But at least the weather forecast was good - no rain for the next ten days; just like yesterday's forecast when, of course, it did actually rain.
Up to the allotment in the afternoon, strimmer batteries fully charged (they were charged yesterday but strimming wet grass isn't much fun) and the grass has now been duly shorn. And some produce has been picked - lots of spinach and chard plus the first rocket of the year. Got most of the weeding done and would have stayed longer but ..... it started to rain.

Tomorrow's forecast says no rain for ten days.
