Thirsty Work

Simba decided to join TJ in the garden today as it was a warm and pleasant afternoon.  It's obviously thirsty work watching someone else do gardening, so he wandered down to the pond to have a drink.  The recent rain has filled the pond up well from its low of last week, so he could reach the surface easily.

I had a sudden urge to do some baking, so made a batch of coffee and walnut muffins from a recipe in a magazine.  (See Extra).  They had an odd combination of ingredients (coconut oil, walnuts, oats, cinnamon, coffee, spelt flour and maple syrup), but were very tasty, if a trifle dry.  Some cream soon solved that problem and they went down very nicely:-)

Saddened and sickened by the news from Manchester and thoughts are with the families and friends of all those affected.
