Monkey business

The custodian of Hartlepool Marina is looking for handouts. Apparently during the Napoleonic Wars a French ship was sunk off the coast nearby and the only survivor was a monkey, who was then tried for being a Frenchman then hanged. Thankfully we live in more enlightened times with our European neighbours...
