All you need is love.
The world carries a heavy heart today. We live on such a beautiful planet, but, at times, in such an ugly world.
There are no words to describe the horrific events that took place in Manchester last night. There are no words to take away the pain of those who have lost a child, a friend, a loved one. There are no words to ease the anguish of those desperately looking for those who remain missing.
I was deeply saddened and shocked that the first words of my class today were "there's been a bomb, you know", "22 people have been murdered", "it's those terrorists again, Miss" and "they're still missing - will they be alive?" Why should a six year old think such acts of senseless violence are normal? What sort of world are we living in where our young children consider this to be the norm?
This afternoon we worked together to create a friendship wreath. The power of love, the only power that will ever help bring peace to the world.
