Collecting water

Teasels are interesting. Their paired leaves are cleverly fused round the stem so that each forms a cup which collects falling rain. There's an idea that it stops aphid attack and may even provide an extra source of nutrition for the plant from the bodies of insects which drown in the collected water. This makes an interesting read about how good teasels are for wildlife

Chores, then revision. Then panic because the fridge/freezer alarm went off and the contents were definitely not as cold/frozen as they should be. Then relief when I realised that switching the thing off and back on again sorted out its confusion.
