Small Copper....

not common here. It was on the beach as a group of us enjoyed a wildlife walk, seeing Willow Warbler, Sedge Warbler, Chiffchaff, Yellowhammer, Heron, Swallow, Swift, and a  Sand Martin colony. This was the only maritime bird visible which was quite unusual!
It was a lovely hot and sunny day, not spoiled by a strong westerly wind blowing.
We picnicked on the riverside.
