What we do

The organisation I work for - The Guild - provides business support, training and consultancy particularly to the social enterprise and not-for-profit sectors. Some of the things we advise on include helping people to choose the most appropriate legal structure for their company, advising existing organisations who may want to change their structure and all sorts of other stuff.

It was set up over 20 years ago by two women who had worked for the co-operative development agency in Norwich. My colleagues are particularly well placed to advise people who want to set up co-operatives.

These booklets and other information on co-ops and our business support service in particular practically flew off our exhibition stand at the Social Enterprise East conference in Cambridge today.

Lunch was great, attended a couple of interesting and useful workshops and spoke to loads of people. And stocked up on freebie memory sticks.
