One Last Stop

On the 11th anniversary of the Twin Towers attack...we were rolling across the New York Turnpike...682 miles from home. On the day of the actual attack, Lisa and I were on vacation with my mom and dad in Branson, Missouri. It was terrible to watch the events unfold on TV. A sad day.

It's tough to sit in a car, and just drive and drive. You get TB (tired butt.) I had one more surprise stop for the troops. Wait for it...wait for it...THE KAZOO FACTORY in Eden, New York.

A 13 step process was required to make the "instrument." 5-6 stamping machines formed it. Metal...not plastic. One of the young workers pointed out what his machine was doing.

We all bought at least one. $1.99 apiece. How many times can you see the product made, AND have a chance to buy it? On my Flickr page...there is a picture of my Dad giving his first kazoo recital. Music to the ears.

We woke up to a mini-car show at our hotel. 8 cars on their way to a car show. A few of the cars are with the rest of the kazoo shots.

We rolled into Fenton at 10 p.m. A long driving day, but it was a nice trip. Always nice to be with family.
