Artichoke

My friend told me to go over to the house they are selling and look at the artichoke plant. She said hers was blooming. She has tried to convince me that the fruit comes before the flower and I just can't wrap my head around that, but it is looking like she speaks the truth!

This is about a week away from blooming and I can't wait until it does. Spectacular!

I am grateful that I just had to venture two doors away to find this beauty.
