In my quest to find tame or captive corvids for a photography project, I did a recce at a wildlife rescue centre not too far away. The Crows, Magpies and Jays were a bit raddled and scraggy looking and I couldn't get beyond the cage. Previously liberated Jackdaws and Magpies hung about on the roofs of the aviaries, as though visiting loved ones in prison. It was a similar scenario at the Seagull aviary. In another aviary there were about 20 Cockatiels and Budgerigars.
