Pompoms

It's many years since I made a pompom but two are required to complete each of the fairisle hot water bottle covers I'm knitting.  First I had to buy a compass and then remember the principles of pompom making.  I could have done with my niece to keep me right!
Slowly recovering from my cold, it's been a stinker but not at all helped by my exertions last week. A daft idea but then I just wanted to make the most of the holiday!
