Or Lupine from the pea family. Lupine from the Latin lupus meaning wolf. It was thought that the  lupine 'wolfed' down the nutrients from the ground, when in fact it fertilizes the ground around it. Blue is associated with Peace.  It is said to have a tranquil effect on the human psyche, causing the body to produce calming chemicals. A lack of this effect is being sad, referred to as 'Feeling Blue'  Native Americans drank tea made from the leaves to cure stomach and urinary complaints.  These lupins were in our garden where I sat in the glorious sunshine today.
