Ospedale Banti

I stumbled across this strange, derelict, slightly Hitchcockian edific on the outskirts of Forence today. At 400m it was built during the Fasciast era to house Tuscany's tuberculosis victims. It was abandoned in the 1990s and has been looking  for a role ever since.

Apparently it is an important work of rationalist architecture (at least of those buildings to do with sanatoriums).

My mother has come through the hip op in good order.
