New gates

I was sent off to photograph these new gates (at either end of the footpath that runs up the hill) because they have attracted complaints as being out of keeping with the area. Apparently they are part of a county council initiative to improve accessibility. However, given that this hill is steeper than the nearby slope named “Steep Hill”, I wonder if accessibility is really an issue here.
