Gilchrist Mausoleum

My first blip for about a week - the weather has been pretty miserable. Not much of an excuse but all I can offer. This is the old church of Kilchrist - the parish of Kilchrist merged with that of Urray in the late 1500s. The story goes that the church was burnt down around 1603 in a feud between local clans. The name at some later stage became Gilchrist. It has been used for some time as the burial mausoleum for the Mackenzies of Ord. And the surrounding cemetery is still used for burials. It's on the eastern outskirts of Muir of Ord.
