Learning something new
Working, writing, learning.
While taking a break from writing and house chores in my garden I learnt something new again. I took a macro of a crane fly and thanks to that I noticed two little antennae below its wings. I started googling and finally found an answer to my question. In case you didn't know: Crane fly or Tipula has halteres and they act as a balance and guidance system by providing rapid feedback to the wing-steering muscles allowing flies to perform their fast acrobatic maneuvers. How interesting!
Thank you all very much for your stars, heart and comments on my 'garlic' blip yesterday. They are much appreciated.
