If ever a picture told a story...

This was the state of Sam when I picked him up this afternoon. He'd spent 2 days walking and a night in a tent.  His group got lost, got hungry, got blisters, slept badly and got sunburned....but were still smiling and had a great time.

Wondering about the hat?  He wouldn't take it off because of the state of his unwashed hair.

Hasn't quite got Bear Grylls survival priorities yet.
