QUART CIDER TANKARD

This TAUNTON CIDER CHRISTMAS MUG 1975 is a reproduction of one made in the late 19th century. This type of quart tankard was commonly bought as a keepsake or commemorative ornament.

The mug , when commissioned, was individually inscribed and then given a final glaze and firing, then returned to the purchaser.

This is one of 500 in a special edition reproduction , and was originally the proud possession of John and Catherine Bowle.

This beautiful mug was a gift for my father back in 1975.
