Crossing the Line

Left it large so you can see detail, if you'd like. A large part of this encaustic journey is about giving myself permission not to be such a slave to my source material. So here I am - taking what I loved about the photo... I'll try to put a link here so you'llknow what I am blathering about. I have abstracted this piece from the image. So proud to be able to say that. A new experience for me - taking only what  I need and leaving the rest....
so - no giving me a hard time about it not looking like the photo please... my confidence is new  and a fragile thing :-)
