Persimmons are now my new passion.  Visited a lady in a small unit on a small section but she had a persimmon espaliered on the side fence.  It made a boring fence close to the house look beautiful with the exotic fruit and autumn coloured leaves glowing in the sunshine.  I have a boring brown fence which I think will be improved by having a persimmon grown on it.
