Queen of Mey

Drove up to the North coast ready to get the Orkney ferry on Saturday. We booked a hotel in the village of Mey so decided to visit the castle which used to be the summer home of the Queen Mother. We are not royalists so the devotion to the Queen's mum was a bit bizarre. Still we liked the house and the garden. This bit has given us allotment inspiration :-D.
We also finally made it to John O'Groats. Several years after we went to Land's End :-).
