Newby Quaker burial ground
You know how it is ... one thing leads to another and you can end up getting a bit fixated. Or is that just me?
Ever since visiting Low Well I had become curious about the Quaker story at Great Strickland and the fact that the burial ground was out at Newby where the herbalist and botanist, Thomas Lawson, is buried (extra). Ever since reading about it I've been wanting to seek it out.
It doesn't look as though it has been visited for a long time.
I decided to have a cycle ride and went to find it today before heading over to my friend's. The light as we walked to the pub at Crosby was stunning.
