Happy Ending

My timing wasn't good today - largely because I hadn't looked at the updated forecast. The rain started just as I was about to hang out my second lot of washing. This evening looked very hit-and-miss, but I thought I'd venture out for a drive and see if golden hour would provide me with any good light, or there would be any twilight birds around. Snipe can be secretive and are often well camouflaged in there reedy habitat, but sometimes, especially at this time of year, you can be lucky enough to catch one pole-squatting. This one was particularly obliging!
