Tastes like pistachio?

I spotted an instagram post from Ethical Carnivore author Louise Gray yesterday saying that Elm seeds taste like pistachio so I thought I'd give them a try.

I plucked a few from our next door neighbour's tree and had a taste - if they saw me, they'll just add it to the list of strangeness they think I have. I can't say I got pistachio but then I do know I'm no supertaster. They weren't unpleasant though. I do hope it was actually Elm seeds I was trying.
