Cry for the moon

Many thanks for all the love for yesterday's blip! I think I've replied to everyone, but apologies if I've missed anyone out.

I have wanted to test my 70-300mm on the moon for a while now, but I've been thwarted by cloud cover and unhelpful moonrise/set times. 

However, I spotted the waning moon this morning and gave it a go. This was hand held, with autofocus.  This is uncropped and you can see that a full moon would be a reasonable size in the frame.

Now, do I try to get a teleconvertor to push my luck further? I would have to get hold of a kenko one as the canon extenders aren't compatible due to their protruding connections.
