The Full Monty
A final outing for Ramonda myconi. Having shown the buds and some close ups of the flower, here's the whole plant, thriving in a trough in a semi shady place close to the house. After losing all the buds to slugs and snails last year I'm pretty chuffed to have such a perfect display this year.
Saturdays often start with wheelchair basketball and so it was today. Norwich Lowriders are facing changes in funding from local government, for changes read cuts of course. The ongoing popularity of the club, for popularity read success in delivering a positive experience for young players and their families, requires more voluntary input from the parents. I could find myself acting as a Table Referee next winter .... whatever that is!
The rest of the day has been a gentle mix of house and garden jobs, food and even some time reading my book dozing in the sunshine in the patio bench :-)
Jacinta has been down to (schhh ... say it quietly) Ipswich for the last of the monthly practices for this year's Recorder Orchestra concert. The big day is in four weeks time, 17th June at St Georges RC Church, Sprowston Road, Norwich. If you're in the area it'll be a great evening out!
