'bout Time

After years, yes years! of trying to encourage Eastern Bluebirds to nest in our yard...a pair has finally moved in! Bluebirds tend to prefer open areas and our yard is heavily treed with lots of shrubs/bushes around. Each year these sweet little birds would come through and check things out but never  stayed around long enough to set up housekeeping. This year, apparently, they've had a change of heart. The Chosen Box is in the front yard just a few feet from the street. Bluebirds in the front, Cardinals, Wrens, Titmice and Chickadees in the backyard. And this year we even have  nesting pair of Great Crested Flycatchers in a box in the side yard! Stay Tuned! :)
