Cromer Crab and Lobster Festival

I woke early today. Through the night I had been woken by my headache, but by the morning it was almost not there. I am trying to slow down and do less. So I got up at 8 and washed up, but did little else. Took Mollie to work for 9.30 and picked up a few bits in Morrisons on my way back.

With just Henry and i at home, we did some gardening together. He strimmed the edge of the borders, and I followed behind picking up the grass and trimming the stray bits with scissors! It is effective, and I keep them in my greenhouse. Its good to see more of my plants relocated from Cambridge, all thriving. A big flowered clematis has started to flower. It is entwined with my hibiscus tree, so they were dug out together, and both are doing well. Everything apart from my peony is lilac/purple flowering at the moment. I'm not complaining, just glad of colour.

I didn't finish the border. I hope to do more tomorrow. We then tackled the sealant around the bath. It has been bugging me for aches, grey, mouldy. Just unsightly. So we dug out the old sealant, not as easy as I thought it would be! Then together squeezed the new sealant along the edge, and I flattened it with my finger. Henry and I both had a go at both jobs. We have never done it before, but I was happy with the result!

We drove in to Cromer for a wander. There were some very interesting stalls, all local products. So many people are trying to make a living independently with ideas from beer making, and jewellery, to huge driftwood structures and solid wood garden furniture.

It tried to rain on us, so we had to shelter in the arcades. There we spent about £2.20 between us, but more importantly had a fun time! Then the sun was back out and we made it to the pier for tea/pepsi courtesy of Mollie. We sat in a little sun trap. Bizarre weather. It was lovely. On our way back to the car (which I had parked in a hidden back street for free) we saw these Morris dancers at the entrance to the pier.

I've made an appointment at a local beautician for a Chinese head massage on Thursday evening. I hope it will relieve some tension in my neck and shoulders.

Collected Mollie from work at 6.30 and left Henry cooking tea. Mollie did a quick change and then headed back to the pier to see a show. It is a 'Neon' show and she is getting her makeup done by her friend Yaz, who is very good at it! She has the car, and won't be home until very late.

We are heading next-door to watch Britain's Got Talent with mum and dad. Head is aching with me doing this on my phone...i have my reading glasses on, but will get my eyes rechecked. I have to eliminate everything!

Even though my head hasn't been perfect, it has been so much better today. I have been able to do things, instead of just wanting to go to bed. I hope it continues tomorrow!
