Reunited

These lovelies are siblings that I have known for much of their young lives - the children of a colleague-friend.  Both girls are at university in US, and just arrived home today.  Younger bro has his sisters for the summer - his face says it all :)  

No lessons today, instead, in recognition of tomorrow's National Holiday for Youth and Sports, the day began with the special ceremony to recognise and celebrate the achievements of our best sportsmen this year, followed by a variety of sporty fun activities until school closed at 13.00. 

After a quick burst of essential supplies shopping mid-afternoon, Robin and I enjoyed a leisurely beer in one of the cafe bars along the Bosphorus in Ortakoy, before  spending the evening with colleagues, friends and families, in Konak gardens for potluck and grilled fish - a truly splendiferous and heavily laden table, our merriment hardly diminished by the bitter breezy cold.  Really, just what is going on with the weather?
