What a day for an adventure!
Today was my day off after a very long day at work yesterday. Exhausted as I was this morning, I decided to embrace the day and make sure I didn't waste a moment.
I started with a pilates work out. They have decided to push me as apparently I find it too easy... I'm going to hurt tomorrow. So after this, the Peninsula hotsprings were calling. It's looked as though a storm was going to break all day. It's one of those warm muggy days with a heavy sky and the wind has steadily picked up. When I arrived at the hot springs it was starting to get a little chilly. The water that has bubbled to the surface is a toasty 40-41C, so plenty warm enough. Actually I was quite glad it was getting cooler outside! The springs are beautiful. Individual little rock pools meandering up the hill side to finally, at the summit, the warmest pool (thankfully) has a panoramic view of the peninsula right the way to the bays. No pictures from here I'm afraid as my camera does not like all this hot steamy bubbly water!!
As I meandered back home I stumbled across 'Tullys Cornershop". A farm shop with local produce and veggies, flowers, fruit, meat and fish all grown and raised on the farm, sold to the locals. It's heaven and I shall be visiting again!
