Fishing for Cupcakes

Birthday cupcakes for my littlest today - very fishy :0)

lessons learned:

1. things on pinterest are trickier then they appear
2. cutting out squashed fruit jellies with scissors is sticky and frustrating
3. small children will only help you squish fruit jellies with a rolling pin for a little while - and then will go find something more exciting to do

on the positive side though:
1. powdered sugar works like flour for stopping things from sticking to the rolling pin, cutting board, scissors, your hands, etc
2. light corn syrup really does work for sticking candy eyes to jelly fishies
3. all the sticky, frustrating fishy business is worth it when you little one can't wait for cupcake time :0)
