Peony

I'm thrilled that the Peony is finally blooming, despite of the endless rain.
It's a very special one for me. It was already flowering in my parents garden when I was a child. When we sold the house after my parents passed away last year  I took some offshoots and planted them in our garden. 
They survived and now I'm so pleased to see them blooming.... :-)

Conventgirl, you were totally right: It is the back of  a rose chafer!
I took him into the extra. It was really big one!
It was crawling over my mosaic and frightend Omo, who wanted to take a nap in the shadow, lol.
